Josh Tomlin - MLB Baseball Odds: Colorado Rockies vs Cleveland Indians

Despite their inconsistent play of late the Cleveland Indians are still holding down first place in the AL Central standings. They'll close out their MLB betting series at home against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday night.

Josh Tomlin (8-4, 3.93 ERA) has already dazzled in two interleague starts this season, most recently holding the Pirates to one run on six hits over 6 2-3 innings of work in a victory last week.

Righthander Tomlin also pitched against the Reds back on May 21, surrendering only one run on three hits over seven innings in that win. Tomlin, though, has given up four or more runs in four of his past five trips to the mound.

Heading to the hill for the Rockies on Wednesday will be Jason Hammel (4-6, 4.00 ERA), who was fortunate to earn a win in his most recent start after giving up six runs on eight hits over 6 1-3 innings of work against the Tigers.

Righthander Hammel had been a black hole for his supporters prior to that outing against Detroit, with Colorado getting tagged with the loss in each of his previous eight starts.

Colorado sits in third place in the NL West standings, but the oddsmakers at Bodog Sportsbook think they have just as good a shot at the World Series as the surprising Indians this season.

The Rockies and Indians are both sitting at 30/1 odds to win the title this year. The two clubs are also set at 16/1 odds to win their respective league pennants. Check the Bodog Sportsbook baseball futures page for all the latest lines.
