Bodog MLB Odds: Arizona Diamondbacks visit Atlanta Braves

A pair of teams with sights set on National League playoff berths will meet on the diamond on Friday night as the Arizona Diamondbacks begin an MLB betting series in Atlanta against the Braves.

The Diamondbacks have surged ahead of the San Francisco Giants in the NL West division standings, making them an enticing choice on the 2011 World Series futures at the Bodog Sportsbook. Arizona is now at 25/1 to win the championship this season, and they're at 10/1 to claim the NL Pennant in October.

The Braves, who have a comfortable lead in the National League's Wild Card race, are at 14/1 on the World Series odds heading into the weekend and at 6/1 to win the NL Pennant.

Atlanta, though, will be looking to get an improved performance out of Derek Lowe (7-11, 4.89 ERA) as the team drives toward the playoffs. The right-hander heads to the hill for the Braves on Friday night coming off a loss to the Cubs (five runs on 10 hits over six innings of work).

Overall, Lowe has been tagged with the loss in six of his past 10 trips to the mound, allowing three or more runs in eight of those 10 contests to push his ERA to 4.89.

Daniel Hudson (12-8, 3.76 ERA) counters for the Diamondbacks on Friday. He's coming off a win over the Mets in which he surrendered four runs (two earned) on eight hits over eight innings of work. Hudson is 4-3 with three no-decisions over his past 10 starts, with Arizona going 6-4 in those 10 contests.

First pitch for Friday's game is set for 7:35pm ET, with the three-game series continuing through to Sunday afternoon. Head over to the Bodog Sportsbook for the MLB odds for this series as well as updated World Series futures.
